SINGAPORE (July 3): Yangzijiang Shipbuilding said on Monday it had concluded in the second quarter six shipbuilding orders with a total contract value of US$133 million ($184 million).

Three of these orders for 1,800 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) containerships were exercised from options tied to existing shipbuilding orders. Three others for 82,000-deadweight-tonne bulk carriers were new shipbuilding orders.

These six shipbuilding orders are scheduled for phased deliveries in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
