To put it more bluntly, the participants’ economic prosperity depends on their ability to export goods and services to China.
Over the last few days, I attended the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. The operative word here is “import”.
This is where the world vies for the best position to attract the attention of China’s importers. For the expo’s partipants, hailing from around 155 countries, this is a vital exercise because China represents the major export destination for most of them.
