The initiative is part of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Huawei and SP Mobility, a subsidiary of SP Group, to co-develop and expand high-powered charging infrastructure across Singapore. They will also engage in regular technical collaboration to accelerate the rollout of fast and ultra-fast charging systems.
SP Mobility and Huawei are set to roll out Singapore’s fastest public electric vehicle (EV) charger at Temasek Polytechnic, with deployment expected by the fourth quarter of 2025.
With a maximum power rating of 480kW, the charger can deliver over 200km of range in just five minutes. It will feature at least four charging points and an integrated energy storage system to supplement grid power during peak demand. It also leverages Huawei’s liquid-cooling technology for advanced thermal management, ensuring high performance, safety, and energy efficiency with minimal maintenance.
