Under the contract signed with Global Airlines, EFW will look to facilitate the airline’s entry into commercial service of its first A380 aircraft. EFW will be responsible for all scheduled maintenance, including mandatory inspections and component replacements.
Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), a joint venture (JV) between Singapore Technologies Engineering (SGX:S63
) (ST Engineering) and Airbus, is re-entering the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) market for the world’s largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A380.
EFW will conduct airframe heavy maintenance services out of its facility in Dresden, Germany, for Global Airlines, a London-based airline launched in 2023 with its first inaugural flight planned for 2025.
