“This programme is truly about nurturing banking talent, and I believe poly graduates bring unique qualities that the industry needs — especially now,” says Quek, herself a Ngee Ann Polytechnic graduate. “Graduates will be able to get hands-on experience, build their professional network, and take on responsibility in an environment designed to help them thrive.”
UBS is among the 12 financial institutions partnering the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) to offer over 300 internship and traineeship opportunities for polytechnic graduates over the next two years, under the Financial Industry Fiesta 2025 initiative.
Speaking to The Edge Singapore, Patricia Quek, Head of Wealth Management UBS Singapore, says UBS is committed to nurturing young professionals in finance and breaking the prevailing industry mindset that talent must be degree-qualified.
