The Singapore branch of CIMB Bank has announced plans to focus on clients listed on SGX-ST Mainboard. As such, CIMB intends to cease acting as a Catalist sponsor, with the move subject to regulatory clearance.

In a June 4 release, it said it will ensure that its existing Catalist clients continue to receive support from another Catalist sponsor,

Furthermore, CIMB added it will be engaging its Catalist clients on this process, and remains committed to ensuring that these clients remain in compliance with the Catalist rules.

CIMB also highlighted that its focus on SGX-ST Mainboard clients is independent of its commercial banking activities, and other banking services and relationships with Catalist clients will remain in place.
