The write education
Get the Montblanc Augmented Paper gift set and help support Unicef’s literacy programme
Launched last year, Montblanc’s Augmented Paper reimagines the writing experience by integrating traditional writing into the digital workflow so that it can be organised and shared from anywhere and everywhere.
The Montblanc Augmented Paper gift edition consists of an elegant leather envelope organiser in indigo blue that contains a notebook and a StarWalker writing instrument, featuring custommade technology. Now, with the simple press of a button, written notes and sketches can be transferred seamlessly from paper to a mobile device. With each purchase of an Augmented Paper gift edition, a donation will be made to Montblanc’s partner, the United Nations Children’s Fund, to help give more children access to better quality primary education.
Dance of the cosmos
The high-speed Tri-Axial tourbillon by Girard- Perregaux features two delicate miniature painted complications — a rotating globe with day/night indication and a precision moon-phase display. It distils the essence of the Girard-Perregaux DNA — arrow-shaped gold bridges, a lyre-shaped tourbillon carriage, sapphire domes and a side opening that enables light to flood into this refined mechanism.
A 48mm pink-gold case houses these sophisticated complications. The timepiece is equipped with the hand-winding manufacture GP09310-0001 calibre and has a 70-hour power reserve. The indications are displayed on a guilloché silver-toned dial with a motif evoking the Earth’s meridians providing the perfect setting.
Flamboyant fashion
Bally takes us back to the colourful 1970s when opulent dressing was the mainstay of fashion for men. One can almost picture the likes of David Bowie and Mick Jagger wearing creations such as these shoes with colourful stripes.
Escape clause
The Ferragamo spring/summer 2018 collection for men is made for vacations along the French and Italian Riviera. Colour palettes include earth tones, ivory, pinks and blues. Silhouettes complement the figure while fabrics such as corduroy and velour add a glam factor to your wardrobe.
Striking creation
Ulysse Nardin’s Limited Edition Hourstriker Pin-Up features a burlesque dancer, who is brought to life by the unique skills of its in-house miniature painters. Acrylic colours are applied and mixed directly on the dial while the tiniest details are created through the use of extremely delicate brushes. Jaquemarts set off the hourstriker mechanism and the sensual curves of the dancer are revealed when they sweep back to expose her beauty.
The self-winding Hourstriker Pin-Up is set in a round case and has a power reserve of about 42 hours. It is water-resistant to 30m. Only 28 rose gold and platinum timepieces — each can take up to 90 hours to complete — will be available.
With attitude
Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi has brought out a collection of bags for men that is inspired by her grandfather, who was a postman in Hong Kong. She pays tribute to Grandpa Li with the Lee satchel, a stylish and pragmatic design in leather and suede.
