SINGAPORE (April 12): Jumbo Group has opened three new restaurants in a move to expand in Singapore, with a new Jumbo Seafood outlet at Jewel Changi Airport as well as two new concepts at Far East Square, all of which were launched today.
This brings the group’s total number of food and beverage (F&B) outlets to a total of 14.
The new Jumbo Seafood outlet at Jewel Changi Airport spans over 4,000 sq ft with a seating capacity of about 108 seats including two VIP rooms. Its menu features dishes exclusive to the outlet, and also offers food portions suitable for smaller groups and solo travelers in transit.
Meanwhile, Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine and Chao Ting are two Teochew culinary concepts new to the Jumbo brand of restaurants.
Zui Yu Xuan is located in a two-story heritage building occupying a total floor space of over 9,000 sq ft, with 148 seats including six private rooms fully-equipped with KTV suite facilities.
Chao Ting, on the other hand, is a fast-casual dining concept located next to Zui Yu Xuan. It specialises in Teochew-style ‘pao fan’ (porridge) with both takeaway and dine-in options.
“We are excited to open a new Jumbo Seafood outlet at Jewel Changi Airport,” comments Ang Kiam Meng, group CEO and executive director of the group.
“With Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine and Chao Ting, we are excited to continue being able to play a role in promoting the Teochew heritage and culture through authentic Teochew cuisine and delicacies. Located within the business and financial district, these establishments are poised to be Teochew culinary destinations for working professionals in the area,” he adds.
Shares in Jumbo closed 1.23% higher at 41 cents on Thursday.
